What SocFlow does
SocFlow watches the social accounts you connect and takes an action when something happens — a keyword mentions you, someone follows you, a post matches a filter. This section explains the model, what connecting an account means, and the rules you're expected to follow.
Every automation in SocFlow is a rule with three parts:
- WHEN — a trigger on a connected or watched account: a new mention, a new follower, a keyword match, a new post.
- IF — optional filters that narrow which events actually qualify (keywords, account age, follower count, and more).
- THEN — the action SocFlow takes: reply, post, DM, label, or notify.
What SocFlow is not
Start with how rules work to understand triggers and filters in more depth, then read Before you connect before linking your first account.
Before you connect an account
Connecting a real account is the one step that isn't reversible by just closing a tab — SocFlow keeps running the rules you set until you disconnect or pause them. Data & token security covers how credentials are stored, Built-in guardrails covers what stops a new rule from acting on old activity, and Platform rules to respect covers the automation limits each platform itself imposes.
Per-platform setup
Each platform has its own connect walkthrough and a page of real trigger/action examples with what SocFlow will and won't automate: X, Bluesky, and Mastodon are live today.
If you ever need to step back
Disconnecting & reconnecting explains exactly what happens to your rules when you pause or remove an account, and what does (and doesn't) pick back up if you reconnect it later.
